John attended the University of Pittsburgh and graduated in 2019 with a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience and minor in Chemistry. Additionally, he received a certificate in the conceptual foundations of medicine. Previously, John was an MS3 at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. He joined the Sun Lab in 2021, interested in identifying therapeutic targets for traumatic brain injury (TBI) with the potential for translation to clinical medicine. John received the Dean’s Year-Off Research Fellowship and was conducting full-time research in 2023-2024.
