Pallavi Phadtare
Pallavi completed her Master’s in Neuroscience at the University at Buffalo where she developed a strong foundation in neurodegenerative disease research. She joined the Sun Lab as a Research Fellow, where her work centers on investigating the mechanisms of reactive astrogliosis and the role of NHE1 activity in Alzheimer’s disease pathology. In addition, Pallavi is involved in projects studying stroke and traumatic brain injury (TBI) models, which allows her to explore common pathways of neuronal dysfunction across multiple conditions. Broadly, Pallavi is interested in drug discovery and in uncovering how the brain functions at the molecular and cellular level. She enjoys engaging with new ideas and emerging trends in neuroscience and beyond.
Outside the lab, Pallavi spends her time cooking, dancing, and painting, which allows her to explore creativity in different forms.
